THE TERRACE TIMES

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Parent/Caregivers

Mr Blackwood is currently on sick leave and will return to Anzac Terrace Primary School at the beginning of Term 4.

I will be Acting Principal while Mr Blackwood is away and I would like to thank the staff and students for being so welcoming and introducing me to some of the wonderful things that are happening at Anzac Terrace Primary School.

Faction Athletics Carnival
This week promises to be very eventful with the Faction Athletics Carnival being held this Friday. Faction Athletics Carnivals are always very exciting with individual and team events happening throughout the day. I would like to wish all competitors the very best of luck for the day.

Swimming
Swimming lessons for Pre-Primary – Year 2/3 students begin on Monday September 10 so please ensure your children have the correct swimming attire to participate in these very important lessons.

Parent Open Night
On Wednesday September 12 there will be a Parent Open Night and I hope to see everyone there. I am looking forward to walking through the fantastic classrooms and seeing all the amazing work produced by our students.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone for being so hospitable during my stay at Anzac Terrace Primary School and I look forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks.

Kind regards,

Ian Bersan
Acting Principal

Being a Reading Sensation

As most of our students read each night, the BEARS reading program is not extra work for students, parents and caregivers or teachers, it is simply a method of calculating the number of nights the students read, and then rewards them at strategic numbers, eg 50, 100, 200 and so on.

Well done to the following students who have read for –
